Really gotta disagree on The Grudge though. There are plenty of unnecessary jumpscares that are there for the audience only, there are a bunch of flashbacks that break pacing and weren't in the original and there's some early 2000s cgi. The american Ring is good, one of the best foreign film remakes ever, but it's still not as good as Ringu. I’d probably then put Censor up there as well, as it’s a total homage to the 80’s British video nasty era and I found it to be a nice slow burn with perfect use of synths / dark vibes.
